What you are purchasing is a 32 page instruction manual with a 122 pictures of how we built our own Long Tailed Mud Motor in a step by step manner. It includes a tool list, which is basic hand tools and metal working tools. It also includes a parts list. The items that are hard to find we have found for you at a common website for direct purchase and provided you the part numbers! Other items you will need come from your local hardware store and your local metal supply store.

We are two good hunting friends that got tired of watching the other hunters with their high dollar motors pass us up & get to the best hunting spots first, plus go through water/mud that was too shallow for us and we got fed up and needed to upgrade.

When we found out the price of one of these so called "4x4’s" of the boat world, we decided we couldn’t afford to buy one but we thought we could build our own. With extensive searching on the internet we found that nobody was offering plans to do so and that we were on our own. We put our heads together and built one. That was two years ago and it is still in use by us today!

Since nobody, that we can find has plans for sale and we believe there is a demand or need for this, we decided to document how we built one and make plans or instructions to put up for sale…

These plans were made when we built a couple of small longtailed mud motors, such as a 5 H.P Briggs and Straon and a 6.5 H.P. Honda (Copy). The same process with a few parts modifications would be used to build a larger engine version and we include a list of these details for you if you build a larger one up to 20+ H.P.!

Also included with your purchase is our E-mail support, where we offer support by answering questions to people that have purchased our plans.

Why pay $1600 + to buy a long tailed mud motor when you can build your own for less than $600 including your motor, prop and materials?!? The Motor we used we got off of the internet brand new for $205 with shipping, this is the biggest cost you will have. If you already have an engine your even better off!
